1. ORGANIZATION
1.1. The “Merlo Rent Event 2025” contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) is organized by De Lille NV, located at Hulstsestraat 2, 8860 Lendelede, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”.
1.2. These contest rules (hereinafter: “Rules”) govern the “Merlo Rent Event 2025” contest (hereinafter the “Contest”) organized by De Lille nv, with registered office at 8860 LENDELEDE, Hulstsestraat 2, registered with VAT number 0422.838.242 (hereinafter: “Organizer” or “De Lille”) for the promotion of products distributed by it.
1.3. This Contest will be launched at our Merlo Rent Event 2025 in Belgium and the Netherlands. The Contest starts on April 25, 2025 and will run until May 10, 2025.
1.4. These Contest Rules can always be consulted at our offices during opening hours from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
Participation in this Contest constitutes unconditional acceptance of these Contest Rules.
2. PARTICIPANTS and CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
2.1. This Contest is exclusively open to any natural person employed by a rental company who visits the Merlo Rent Event 2025 in Roeselare or Cuijck and has completed the competition form. The prizes for this competition will be awarded exclusively to companies active in the rental sector. (hereinafter: the Participant)
2.2. The following persons are excluded from any participation in the Contest:
Underage participants;
Employees of De Lille or one of the partners of De Lille NV;
Employees and other staff of third party companies directly or indirectly involved in the design, development, organization, administration and/or promotion of the Contest;
Relatives and family members of the above-mentioned employees and staff members or anyone domiciled at the same address as the aforementioned persons.
2.3. If the Participant does not comply with the rules of these Regulations, he will be immediately and automatically disqualified, without prior warning.
2.4 Each Participant may only participate once during the course of the Contest. Only 1 participation per address is allowed.
3. CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest starts on 25/04/2025 and ends on 11/05/2025 (after the last day of the Merlo Rent Event).
4. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Official registration takes place as follows:
The participant visits the Merlo Rent Event 2025 and completes the form provided for this purpose on site.
The participant answers all questions on the form and also fills in his or her contact details.
By clearly indicating on the form that he or she agrees to the contest rules, the participant confirms his or her participation in the contest.
The participant delivers the participation form to the organizer of the demo day or puts it in the box provided for this purpose.
5. COURSE OF THE CONTEST
The 3 participants who answer all questions correctly and are closest to the answer to the tiebreaker question will be declared the winners of this contest.
In case of a tie, a draw will be made to decide who wins the prize. The contest forms of the persons who answered all questions correctly will be put in an urn, after which 1, 2 or 3 winners will be drawn.
The winners will be announced on Friday 16 May 2025 on the Facebook page of Merlo De Lille NV, after which the winners will also be contacted personally by De Lille NV to settle the prize.
6. PRIZES
There are three prizes to be won:
First prize: 1 year free use of a Merlo eWorker*
Second Prize: 1 year free use of a Cingo M500DM*
Third prize: A visit to the Merlo factory in Cuneo – Italy for 2 persons. The winner will join an organized visit to Merlo and will therefore be able to choose from already fixed dates. The winner will not be able to make a proposal for dates himself.
*These machines will be given to you for free for one year in the form of a Renting agreement at the rate of €0. This agreement will have to be signed and will run from 1/06/2025 to 31/05/2026. Click here to consult the terms and conditions of a Renting agreement. Additional specifications:
- Insurance of the machines (comprehensive incl. theft) is the responsibility of the winner for the duration of the agreement.
- The machines will be equipped with tracking: the eWorker will be equipped with Merlo Mobility, the Cingo M500 will be equipped with an airtag.
- No rentals may be made outside the country borders of the winner's company.
- No license plates will be provided.
- Regular preventative maintenance will need to be provided as stated in the terms of the agreement.
7. PRIVACY AND USE OF SUBMISSIONS
7.1. When registering and participating in the Contest, the Participant provides the Organizer with personal data. De Lille processes this personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which has been in force since 26 May 2018.
7.2. By participating in the Contest, Participants give their consent to the collection and processing of their personal data and to receiving messages from De Lille.
De Lille does not send unsolicited commercial messages. Participants may at any time object to such use of their personal data and/or withdraw this consent by sending an e-mail to the address stated in the message.
7.3. The controller of your personal data is De Lille nv, 8860 Lendelede, Hulstsestraat 2 .
7.4. The personal data of the Participant include the name, first name, address, e-mail address and mobile phone number.
This data is collected solely for the purpose of ensuring the smooth running of the Contest, in particular the possibility of contacting participants regarding their participation, of being able to deliver the prize efficiently and of mentioning their name via electronic media if they have won a prize.
If the Participant requests the total or partial deletion of his data before the end of the Contest, so that the Organizer can no longer contact him, his participation will be declared invalid and he will lose all rights to the Prize.
7.5. Each Participant has the right to access, modify and correct or delete his/her data. This right can be exercised by sending a letter to: De Lille NV, 8860 Lendelede, Hulstsestraat 2 or by sending an email to info@delille.be with a copy of the identity card as an attachment.

8. RIGHTS OF THE ORGANIZER (Disqualification, Suspension or Cancellation of the Contest)
8.1 Any violation of these regulations or any fraud will lead to the disqualification of the Participant. The Organizer may disqualify a Participant in case of reasonable suspicion of violation of these Regulations.
8.2 The Organizer reserves the right to shorten, suspend, modify or cancel the Contest for any reason beyond its control or in the event of force majeure which makes it impossible to continue the Contest in accordance with these Regulations, including in the event of poor functioning of the Internet or any other problem related to telecommunications networks, computers or servers, Internet providers, computer systems or computer programs.
8.3 The Organizer further reserves the right to shorten, suspend or extend the Contest at its sole discretion.
8.4 Where any change or suspension of these Rules occurs, the Organizer will clearly communicate a notice of such change or suspension.
9. LIABILITY
9.1 The Organizer shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damage that may occur in connection with participation in the Contest, of whatever nature and whatever the cause, origin or consequences, even if it has been advised of the risk of such damage, including damage caused as a result of:
an interruption or malfunction of the Internet or of the computer of a Participant or person or company involved in the organization of the contest or any other problem related to telecommunications networks, computers or servers, Internet providers, computer systems or computer programs;
the use of websites & internet, including any deviation or virus that could infect and/or damage the Participant's computer equipment or other goods.
9.2 If the Contest is terminated as a result of the conduct of one of the Participants, the Organizer reserves the right to claim compensation for any damages suffered.
9.3 The Organizer does not provide any guarantees regarding the usability or suitability of the Prize for any purpose whatsoever. The Organizer cannot be held liable for the use of the Prize, nor for the poor functioning or execution of the Prize, nor for any damage, whether direct or indirect, directly or indirectly caused by the Prize.
9.4 Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, the Organizer, its staff, or any third party it has called upon to organize the Contest may not be held liable for any damage of any nature whatsoever that may arise as a result of participation in or the organization of the Contest, the designation of the winners and the awarding or non-awarding of the Prize. The liability of the parties mentioned in this paragraph may in no case be increased as a result of any modification, suspension or termination of the Contest, as mentioned in the previous paragraph.
10. REGULATION CHANGES & COMPLAINTS
10.1 The Organizer reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time. Amendments will come into effect as soon as they are published.
10.2 Any complaint in connection with this Contest must be sent in writing by registered mail no later than 7 working days following the end of this Contest to De Lille nv, 8860 Lendelede, Hulstsestraat 2.
10.3 In the event of a dispute regarding the application or interpretation of these Regulations, the Participant undertakes to first seek an amicable solution in consultation with the Organizer before initiating legal proceedings.
10.4 All decisions of the Organizer regarding the Contest are final. There is no recourse for the Participant.
10.5 These Regulations and the course of the competition itself are exclusively subject to Belgian law. Any dispute arising from a dispute about the interpretation or application of these regulations will be brought exclusively before the courts of Ghent, Kortrijk division.
10.6 If any provision of these Regulations is deemed null and void or invalid, the other provisions of these Regulations shall remain in full force and effect.
10.7 Participation in the Contest implies the Participant's full and unconditional acceptance of these Regulations.
